Family Support
Community Based Family Support is a free and confidential service for families of
children under 18years who are experiencing stress and difficulties at home. The
aim of the service is to work in partnership with families to develop an
individualised plan to meet their specific needs.
Examples of common issues include: managing behaviour, communication and
relationship difficulties, school avoidance, mental health difficulties, co-ordination
of services, crises that impact on children such as bereavement, illness,
redundancy, mental health, separation, financial problems etc.
We are here to help and offer a number of services including a drop - in clinic,
brief interventions, intense family support, Meitheal and a variety of parenting
courses. Families can self-refer; referrals are also welcome from medical
professionals, community organisations, agencies and schools with the consent of
parent(s)/guardian(s).
If you would like to find out more about the service or want to have a chat -
contact Michelle O’Mahoney on 087 220 7143 or tacufsw@gmail.com.
